PUSHTIMARG BAITHAK JI TOUR
Pushtimarg, also known as Pushtimarg sampradaya or Vallabha sampradaya, is a subtradition of the Rudra Sampradaya (Vaishnavism). It was founded in the early 16th century by Shri Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya ji (1479–1531) and is focused on Krishna. A bhakti (devotional) school, Pushtimarg was expanded by the descendants of Shri Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya Ji, particularly Gusainji. The Pushtimarg tradition recognizes Krishna by many names and epithets, such as Sri Nathji, Sri Navanitpriyaji, Sri Madanamohanji, Sri Mathureshji, Sri Gokulnathji, Sri Vittalnathji and Sri Dwarkadhishji.
The Shrinathji Temple is the main shrine for the followers of this faith, and it dates back to 1669. It is located in Nathdwara, which is north of Udaipur.
Shri Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya Ji was born into a Telugu Brahmin family in South India. His mother’s father was a priest in the royal court of the Vijayanagara Empire. Vallabha’s family fled Varanasi after they received rumours of an imminent Islamic attack on the city. The family spent the early years with baby VallabhaCharya Ji hiding in the forests of Chhattisgarh.
Vallabhacharya Ji education was based on the Vedic literature and other Hindu texts. He worked in temples during the Vijayanagara court period, and then went on a pilgrimage to various sacred sites of Hinduism throughout the Indian subcontinent.
After his visit to Vrindavan in the north, he accepted and dedicated himself to the bhakti of Krishna. He wrote his philosophical premises in Sanskrit and a few in the Braj language. His devotional mantra “Sri Krishna Sharanam Mam” became the initiatory mantra of Pushtimargis
The concept of baithak or bethak, which literally means ‘seat’, is important to followers of the Pushtimarg tradition of Vaishnava Hinduism in India. Devotional rituals are performed at these sites, which are connected to Shri Vallabhacharya Mahaprabhu, the founder of Pushtimarg, and his descendants. These sites are found throughout India, with most of them being in Braj region in Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. There are 142 Baithaks in total, 84 of which belong to Vallabhacharya, 28 to his son Viththalanath Gusainji, and 30 to his seven grandsons.
We organize the package tour for the Baithak Ji Tour in Kashi, Adhel, Charnat, Chitrakoot, Ayodhya, Naimisharanya for Pushtimargiya Vaishnavas.
